positive experience the Childbirth Education classes were. Being a
first-time mom at 43 has certainly brought its fears. Part of me
felt that the more information I received through classes would
bring more fear. ("Ignorance is bliss" ). Early on I hadn't even
considered childbirth without drugs and even thought that caesarian
might be an easy way out. Nearly everyone's advice was "Get the
epidural". I see how wrong my thinking was. After taking the class,
I am confident and even exciting about labor and delivery.
